It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

We're talking about the unit that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the peak baggers, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

That it took up to Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

That loss "pushed us to rethink our standards," Healy said this week.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the championship match and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort remains open for discussion.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it was a disappointing period because it seemed my form was missing completely," commented Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive instincts kick in and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was in motion.

"A chance to play and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that regard, somewhat inspired me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

When she was removed Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the prior year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So great is her will, she later said she regretted not playing despite the injury.

But while she later admitted those physical issues have delayed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a global event as leader.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her last major obstacle.
